Active Since
2012

The story of DSTR Infrastructures and Projects began in 2012 with one man, one crew, and one single DTH piling rig. Founded by Mr. D. Sathi Reddy in New Delhi, the company was built from the ground up — literally — with a belief that discipline, quality workmanship, and technical skill could carve a place in India's highly competitive infrastructure sector.

Those early years were spent proving our worth on the corridors of the Delhi Metro — one of the world's most demanding urban infrastructure programmes. Working initially as a subcontractor to FEMC–Pratibha JV and Larsen & Toubro, we drilled, piled, and bored our way through some of New Delhi's most geologically complex ground, from soft alluvial soils to hard quartzite rock formations, delivering work that exceeded expectations every time.

With each completed project came reinvestment — new rigs, new equipment, new capabilities. By 2015, we were running multiple rigs simultaneously across different Metro packages: CC-17, CC-18, CC-23, CC-27, CC-34, and CC-66. What started as a single machine had become a growing fleet of DTH drilling rigs, truck-mounted drilling units, hydraulic piling rigs, and Reverse Circulation (RC) rigs capable of tackling the full spectrum of deep foundation and drilling requirements.

From 2016 onward, our India operations expanded well beyond Delhi — to Lucknow, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata, and Surat — covering metro rail projects across the country. Simultaneously, since 2013 we have been operating in Africa, making DSTR one of very few Indian drilling contractors to run concurrent operations on two continents for over a decade. We are currently active in Mali, Ivory Coast, South Africa (Cape Town & Durban), Nigeria, and Ghana, with expansion underway into Zambia, Kenya, and Tanzania. The journey from one rig in New Delhi to a global fleet is not just our growth story — it is our identity.

2012 — One Rig. One Mission.
Established with a single DTH piling rig in New Delhi. First subcontracts on Delhi Metro under L&T and FEMC–Pratibha JV. Proved reliability in DMRC-grade conditions from day one.
2013–2015 — Fleet Growth & Africa Begins
Simultaneous contracts across 6 Delhi Metro packages — CC-17, CC-18, CC-23, CC-27, CC-34, CC-66. Fleet expanded with multiple DTH, rotary, and RC rigs. Africa operations commenced in 2013 — initial deployments to Mali and West Africa running in parallel with India works.
2016–2021 — Multi-City India Expansion
Expanded beyond Delhi to Lucknow (Lucknow Metro, TATA Projects), Hyderabad (Hyderabad Metro Rail), Mumbai (Metro Line 3), Bengaluru (Namma Metro Phase 2), Pune (Pune Metro Rail), and Kolkata (East–West Metro Corridor). Fleet of RC, DTH, and piling rigs deployed across 8 cities.
2022–2023 — MAHSR Surat + Rebrand
Rebranded as DSTR Infrastructures and Projects. Secured work on the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High Speed Rail in Surat, Gujarat — our first national high-speed rail project.
2013 — Africa Operations Begin
Simultaneously with growing Delhi Metro commitments, DSTR began deploying rigs and crews to the African continent, starting operations in Mali and West Africa. The same year marked concurrent multi-package work across Delhi Metro CC-18, CC-23, CC-27, CC-34.
Now — Two Continents, 12+ Years Running
Active contracts across India and Africa since 2013. Operations spanning Mali, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana and expanding into Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania. India DMRC Phase IV works ongoing through 2026. One rig became many. The drilling never stops.
Global Footprint

Operating Across
Africa

DSTR Infrastructures and Projects has maintained a multi-country presence across the African continent since 2013, deploying our drilling rigs and piling equipment to support mining, water infrastructure, and civil construction projects.

Our African operations reflect the same standards of technical excellence, safety compliance, and project delivery discipline that earned us our reputation on India's toughest metro projects. We bring DMRC-grade precision to African ground conditions — adapting our methods to local geology, regulations, and project requirements.

We are actively pursuing further growth across the continent, with new country entries in Zambia, Kenya, and Tanzania currently in progress.

DTH Drilling Rigs
DOWN-THE-HOLE HAMMER RIGS
Our fleet of Down-The-Hole (DTH) hammer drilling rigs forms the backbone of DSTR's operations. These rigs deliver high-frequency percussive energy directly at the drill bit — deep underground — making them exceptionally efficient in hard rock, weathered rock, and mixed strata conditions. Whether drilling 150mm dewatering bores or 850mm soldier pile holes, our DTH rigs maintain consistent performance at depths exceeding 150 metres. Each rig is maintained to OEM standards, with third-party inspection reports submitted to clients prior to commencement of work.
Bore diameter range: 150mm – 850mm
Drilling depth: up to 150m and beyond
Strata: soft soil, hard soil, soft rock, hard rock
Applications: soldier piling, dewatering, soil investigation
Used on: Delhi Metro CC-17 through CC-66 & DC-09
TRUCK-MOUNTED DTH
02
02
Truck-Mounted DTH Machines
MOBILE SELF-PROPELLED DRILLING UNITS
Our truck-mounted DTH drilling machines combine the power of down-the-hole hammer technology with the mobility of a road-going vehicle. This makes them ideal for projects requiring rapid deployment across multiple sites — a key advantage in large metro projects with 10+ locations and in our African operations where terrain and access routes vary significantly. Truck-mounted units can be on-site, set up, and drilling within hours of arrival, dramatically reducing non-productive mobilization time. They are the primary equipment for dewatering bores, borewell installation, and medium-depth soldier pile works in constrained urban and semi-urban environments.
Self-propelled — no separate transport vehicle needed
Rapid site-to-site mobilization within hours
Ideal for constrained urban & remote sites
Applications: dewatering, borewell, medium piling
Deployed across India & Africa operations

03
Hydraulic Piling Rigs
ROTARY & HYDRAULIC KELLY RIGS
Our heavy-duty hydraulic rotary piling rigs are purpose-built for large-diameter bored pile construction — the workhorses of metro station, launching shaft, and crossover construction. Operating at bore diameters from 700mm up to 1000mm, these rigs handle everything from conventional bored piles with liner and rebar to soldier pile installation with UC and ISMB steel sections. They are fully equipped to pour concrete by tremmie pipe for soft piles and king posts as per DMRC specifications. All rigs are operated by qualified, certified drill operators with extensive metro project experience.
Bore diameter: 700mm – 1000mm (large diameter)
Tremmie concrete placement for soft piles & king posts
UC 203, ISMB 300/400 section lowering capability
Crawler-mounted for site maneuverability
Used: Delhi Metro CC-34, CC-66, DC-09 (Mundka, Janakpuri)
RC RIG
04
Reverse Circulation (RC) Drilling Rigs
RC DUAL-TUBE PERCUSSION DRILLING
DSTR's fleet also includes Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling rigs — a highly specialized dual-tube drilling system where compressed air drives the drill bit while cuttings are returned to surface through the inner tube of the drill string, ensuring uncontaminated sample recovery and highly accurate geological logging. RC drilling is the preferred method for soil and rock investigation in hard-rock conditions, geotechnical profiling at metro station sites, and exploratory drilling on mining projects across our African operations. Compared to rotary drilling, RC produces faster penetration rates in hard formations, delivers cleaner sample returns, and maintains greater borehole accuracy at depth — making it the system of choice for demanding site investigation and mineral exploration programmes.

Safety is Not
a Checklist.
It's Our Culture.

At DSTR Infrastructures and Projects, safety is embedded into every aspect of our operations — from pre-mobilization planning to final demobilization. We operate under the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) frameworks mandated by DMRC, L&T, Afcons, and our international project clients, and we treat these frameworks not as compliance obligations but as the foundation of how we work.

Every piece of equipment deployed by DSTR undergoes third-party inspection and fitness certification before entering any project site. All drivers and machine operators hold valid statutory licences as required under applicable labour and safety regulations. Workers are provided with full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) — including safety helmets, safety shoes, high-visibility vests, hand gloves, dust masks, hearing protection, and fall-arrest equipment where required.

We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy on site safety violations, non-use of PPE, and non-compliance with environmental protection requirements. Our site supervisors attend all safety meetings convened by the principal contractor's safety engineer and are empowered to stop work if unsafe conditions are identified.

⚙️ Equipment Certification
All drilling rigs, piling machines, and ancillary equipment undergo mandatory third-party inspection (TPA) before deployment. Fitness certificates are submitted to the principal contractor and client prior to commencement of any works. Equipment insurance — including Plant & Machinery Policy and Workmen's Compensation Policy — is maintained at all times.
🦺 PPE & Worker Protection
All workers are issued complete PPE in accordance with project-specific HSE requirements — helmets, safety footwear, high-visibility reflective jackets, gloves, dust masks, and hearing protection as applicable. PPE compliance is monitored by our on-site safety representative and verified by the principal contractor's safety engineer at all site safety meetings.
📋 Labour Law Compliance
DSTR strictly complies with all applicable labour laws including the Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Wages Act, Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, Employees' Provident Fund Act, ESI Act, and Industrial Disputes Act. PF contributions are remitted monthly and challans submitted to the principal contractor. All wages are paid directly to workers' bank accounts — 100% digital wage disbursement.
🌙 Night Operations Protocol
Where site requirements necessitate night-shift drilling, DSTR deploys dedicated night-shift crews with enhanced safety protocols — including full-site illumination, reflective PPE, night-shift supervisors, and direct communication lines to the principal contractor's site management. Safety standards during night operations are held to the same standard as daytime works with no exceptions.
📁 Documentation & Record Keeping
All statutory registers, drilling logs, boring records, soil sample documentation, and inspection reports are maintained in accordance with DMRC standards and principal contractor requirements. Method statements and Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) are submitted for client approval before commencement of any work scope. All invoices comply with GST e-invoicing requirements.
